"Nobody, as long as he moves about among the chaotic current of life, is without trouble." Carl Jung
Most all of us find ourselves at some point in our lives in a place of change, choice, or confusion with need for competent counsel to assist us in navigating these challenges. Often these problems first appear in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. They often manifest in our emotions, relationships, work and/or the deeper places within us.
In self we may experience anxiety, worry, hopelessness, depression, or loneliness; creating unhealthy patterns of coping, negative self-talk, low self-esteem, escapism, health problems, insomnia, low motivation or internal conflicts between thought and action. We may feel stuck from past trauma or abuse, accepting major losses or life changes, finding meaning and purpose to our lives. These may create patterns or troubles with our self-esteem, confidence, self-worth, security and life satisfaction.
In relationships we may experience troubles with rage, frustration, guilt, shame, anger, defensiveness, hurt, struggles with control, manipulation, repeatedly choosing unhealthy partners or having difficult of "letting go" of another. These may create difficulty in our ability to trust ourselves and others, engage in healthy communication and conflict resolution, or experience healthy physical and emotional intimacy, all limiting our pursuit of the vibrancy and wholeness that we desire for self and others we love.
My expertise is in helping people deal, heal and grow. In counseling with me you can expect to work on your concerns in depth, develop creative solutions, learn new ways to approach and manage your challenges, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and find a new sense of peace, wisdom, and inner-strength. Beyond the most current clinical training as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the State of Oregon - I possess more than 35 years of life experience with its gifts and burdens as a son, husband, father, senior-level corporate executive, entrepreneur, and community advocate.
Consider a complimentary 30 minute phone or office consultation with me to see if my approach is right for you.
